Any reply except for “The Terrible” puts you in the lethal path of the searing beam weapons of the gunboats. If you made the wrong reply, return to (038)—only the pirates have surprise.
If you replied “The Terrible,” the gunboats drop their weapons lock and lower their shields. One gunboat captain tells you to stand by for inspection. You can attack with surprise (038), or you can allow the gunboat crew to board your vessel.
If you allow them to board, they will attack as soon as they see you face to face and realize that they have been hoodwinked. If you survive, return to (038) and fight it out with the gunboats.
